Amazing for the price

Nexus 7 easily meets all the requirements I had for a new tablet computer. I am hugely impressed with battery life, clarity of the screen and speed all of which are better than I was expecting for such a low priced tablet. There are a few minor niggles which may annoy some people. No flash player means that some web content is not available (eg BBC Iplayer), there is no rear facing camera which would be useful for Skype and fairly unsurprisingly, the sound quality from the built in speaker is not amazing. Overall though, I would definately buy the Nexus 7 again.

A really great Android tablet

I am really pleased with this tablet. It is really fast and responsive, and the graphics are excellent. A big plus for me is that the battery lasts all day - my Archos 70 Internet Tablet used to need charging after around 3 hours. In my opinion this is worth every penny I paid for it.

After spending a long time deciding on which tablet I could get I finally decided on the nexus 7 its a really fantastic bit of kit. In fact I am writing this review on it right now! Honestly if you are thinking about getting an iPad don't get this instead you will not regret it.
The app store is a substantial amount larger than that of apple. Along with this I have also found the graphics on the tablet for games is amazing its like playing on my PlayStation. the battery seems to last forever! But there are so many more things I haven't even begun to mention. Trust me get one and you will see why it is so so good!

Jelly Bean operating software together with sensitive, responsive touch screen make the Nexus a joy to operate.
I recently took the Nexus on my holiday with several ebooks installed which I purchased from Amazon. The ebook reading experience was good in all conditions despite not using electronic ink as in the Kindle.
The Hotel had WiFi which I could connect to for reading e-mails and surfing the internet without any problems.
Battery life was great while listening to music, reading and the internet, I still managed several hours and only needed to charge the Nexus overnight.
The Nexus fitted by needs and is great value.

Its pretty nifty

The Google Nexus 7 is agreat little tablet. We opted to get the 16GB version and with a Tesco voucher and coupons managed to get it cheaper than anywhere else. This is a 7 inch tablet so smaller than the IPad but the graphics quality is excellent and its great for watching movies. The choice of apps is good although not as many as Apple Store and we have had no problems with any of the features so far. It also came with £15 free Google credit which was a nice bonus. The tablet is easy to use, feels and looks really good quality and is probably the next best buy to the IPad at a much cheaper price. Speedy delivery by Tesco and all in all I would thoroughly recommend the Nexus 7.

It was the easiest tablet to set up. I find it very easy to download apps onto it and to use. It is thin enough to carry in my handbag.

After looking for a tablet for 6 months and none looking as smooth or as up to date as he nexus I took the gamble and decided to buy one, arrived promptly at my store, and it came safely packaged. The tablet itself is perfect in the hand and has a really nice feel, I was worried about the screen problems but I have had no such problems which means Google has solved the problem. I did notice that the screen would not respond a little after long periods of time, so to solve it. You would have to lock and then unlock it again, however the update 4.1.2 came out and solved the problem along with the fixed home screen, so now I can rotate the screens 360°, I'm writing this review using the nexus 7 now, all I can say is millions of games, loads of storage on the 16gb model and so much you can do I've got my day sorted in my calendar and it sinks to my android pone, so if I haven't got my tablet I get the reminder on my phone, however this is only if you use the same Google account synced to both devices, also I've got my hot mail synced and a notification pops up when I get an email with no delay, I can email back and download attachments as well as attach. All I can say is, its a wonderful device just remember get the Asus nexus 7 not the Samsung galaxy nexus.
Buy it as soon as you can it beats the mini iPad and has no lag what's so ever, wonderful, best buy I have ever had.
You can find cases which are better than the official Google one, on Amazon I recommend the moved designs.

Very Handy Portable Tablet

Useful for Skype, Facebook etc. Kindle App allows use as e-reader. Like clear display and fast operating speed. Maps and built in GPS enables use as SatNav. Difficult to wake up if it shuts off completely, so not given 5 stars.

the most useful piece of technology I have bought in a long time, I now have the luxury of reading a newspaper everyday, small enough to fit in my handbag tricky getting iplayer sorted but the quality of the video is fantastic.

I bought this tablet as I wanted something portable and not too expensive. The first production models had a few teething problems but everything appears to have been corrected by the factory on later batches. I am very happy with my Nexus 7, it does everything I ask of it with speed and efficiency. Movies are brilliant with vibrant colour and good sound. Games are in the main a joy to play and for my money the price is unbelievably good. Buy one and see.

I bought the Nexus 7's for both of my teenage children & what a great buy. They are never off them and well worth the money for what they are capable of doing. Am even thinking about getting one myself!

very good bit of kit for the money

Get on with device very well, do find a few web pages that I can't view fully due to chrome not being compatible. Really wish the WiFi on it was stronger and to have the option of 3G so I could have internet on the go would be nice. Otherwise a well made and highly recommended product.

As far as the actual tablet goes, it's brilliant. Really good for the £200 it cost me. For the actual product I give 5*
But it's very annoying that not even 6 months after I bought the tablet, a new 32gb option is coming out for the same price... Pretty annoying

The product is handier to use than an IPAD but it is obviously smaller and requires finger dexterity - I have found a stylus works really well with it. Not the same range of apps as the IPAD but still more than most of us can manage and they are added to almost daily. Well constructed device, but could be more responsive at start-up as you often doubt if you have pressed the 'on' button whilst awaiting it to fire up. Not quite as intuitive as you would hope for and the manual is not the most clearly written; so it becomes a voyage of discovery and learning over a period of time.

Initially i considered purchasing a Kindle until i heard about the release of the Nexus 7. With the very latest Android software, the Nexus 7 is excellent as an eReader and a multi media device, it basically does everything an iPad does but at half the cost....Highly Recommended
